Round-Up City Am June 6-8
Expect the usual suspects when upwards of 200 golfers compete over three days, June 6, 7 and 8, in the Round-Up City Amateur, the premier golf event in Eastern Oregon.
This will be the 48th year of the invitational tournament, a 36-hole individual stroke play competition that also includes Sunday's always-popular sole survivor for the top 10 low gross scores for the first round.
The first round could be played on either Friday or Saturday because players may choose to golf on Friday morning and Saturday afternoon, or Saturday morning and Sunday morning. Friday morning's play will be tee times starting at 8 am. All other starts will be shotgun.
Last year Brad Christianson won the tournament for the eighth time, shooting 70 and 68 for a three-shot win over Andrew Solina. Low net of the fied was Russ Herman, a three-shot winner over Howard Headley.
The tournament features include a skins game and honey pot, Saturday night dinner, complimentary tee prizes, a breakfast fubbet ($6) each morning, and a no-host Friday night dinner.
Entries - $145 - should be sent to Round Up City Amateur, 237 SW Emigrant, Pendleton, OR 97801. Those received after May 15 will not be guaranteed a spot in the tournament.
