Well, we have a whole month completed in our 2008 season, but sorry, we didn't order better weather for most of April.

Ladies' opening day was quite successful with 42 ladies partaking. We had a great lunch and the following teams were winners of our 18-hole scramble: 1, Dorrine Kendrick, Lisa Newman, Julie Palm and Virginia Roberts, 75. 2 (tie), Janet Betz, Carole Chvilicek, Tara Ettinger and Karen Graybeal; Jean Albrich, Lynn Liebe and Nancy Wallace, 76. 3, Gwen Lewis, Joan Schertenleib, Dori Tennant and Mary Ann Warnock, 77.

Now we are into our partnership tournament, which will go on through July.

We would like to see more gals come to our regular Thursday play. In May, we begin at 8:30 a.m. and remember, on the first Thursday you need to be early so that we can draw for teams to play our “surprise team event.”

Also, please check the bulletin board in the ladies' locker room for the various out-of-town invitationals that are lots of fun to attend. (A group of four can get together and ride and share the cost of gas.)

By the time you receive this bulletin, we will have had our spring luncheon and card party. Am sure it was a success with good cards, lovely lunch and fun time had by all, or anyway those who won.

Tuesday, May 13, is our last potluck of the season. They will start back up in October, but in the meantime, mark your calendars to be sure to attend in May. It will be a hamburger feed, so bring a salad or dessert, according to the bulletin alphabet list. We've had some great turnouts, but there's always room for more.
